About The Venue
Overnewton Castle is the only original Scottish Baronial Castle that is available for weddings and accommodation experiences in Australia. Built in 1849 it now stands as a prominent heritage building.
Known for its lavish weddings since 1961, Overnewton Castle is the only original Scottish Baronial Castle in Victoria. Built in 1849, this prominent heritage building is one of the leading unique wedding venues in Melbourne. The property boasts 36 rooms in total with the main ground-floor accommodating weddings and special events. With elaborate sitting rooms, several dining areas with open fireplaces, and a non-denominational chapel it is the perfect venue to create a tailored wedding experience for you and your guests.
The estate is set on four acres of private English gardens, with exquisite views of the countryside, making this homestead an elegant backdrop for photography opportunities.

Tickets are sold on a non-refundable basis but can be transferred against other dates (at least 48 hours beforehand) - a transfer fee is applicable. If you purchase a ticket and are not fully vaccinated you may run the risk of being turned away. All tickets to Overnewton Castle events are non-refundable.
Please note, our canape menu is a sample appetiser, not a full meal. We are unable to cater to specific dietary requests for this event, but we do offer this for our events.
